6D 5N in Gold Coast Australia

16 Feb (Friday) - arrived in Brisbane airport

Abah bought some "Nasi Ayam" for us. He has to fork out AUD25.00 or about RM70.00 to get this meal from one of the Malaysian restaurants in Gold Coast.

17 Feb - Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast

1st stop - fresh market. We bought some big prawns.
Next, abah took us to Surfers Paradise. I was attracted to this musical instrument. It is called " Didgeridoo". It is a long, wooden wind instrument or horn used traditionally by the aboriginal people of Northern Australia.

Next stop - Infinity. It is a futuristic MAZE. I was a little scared coz it tooks us some times to find the way out.



Next , we went to the beach. It was a beautiful fine sandy beach.

Of course, I bought a new hat before going to the beach.

18 Feb - Sea World, Main Beach, Gold Coast

3rd day, we visited the Sea World.

We boarded the Seaworld monorail, the Australian's first monorail system.

We encountered the sharks!


Ready to watch 4D movie - Save the Planet SOS.

Special effects were like Polar bear "sneezing", monkeys throwing fruits at us, spiders crawling on our feets, trees fall etc..

The best scene was when we were saved by a monkey that stopped a snake was from eating us.

My first ride - Viking's boat ride.

Later, we watched the dolphin show at Dolphin Cove.

Next ride - Sea World Eye observation wheel.

This one was called " Bermuda Triangle ". I did not expect that the ride had a "reverse" fall! I was not allowed to ride this one due to height limit (must be above 122cm).

19 Feb - Warner Brother's Movie World, Helensvale, Gold Coast.
4th day: recognise the green shop behind me? Shrek!
we watched Shrek 4D Adventure. We were led to a dungeon where 3 little pigs & Pinocchio were trapped inside moving boxes, upside down. Best special effect includes horse ride.

Abah challenged me to take this ride. 20-meter drop!

ummi with Austin powers.We also took a Looney Tunes River rides.
taking photo in front of Batman ride. We proceed to take a motion platform simulator-style ride. (I like this ride the most! as I got to help Batman chasing after his enemies, Mr Freeze & Catwoman)


20 Feb - David Fleay's Wildlife Park, West Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast

No specific agenda today, so abah took us to see the koalas.

and the kangaroos...also known as wallabies.



We did our final shopping at Pacific Fair Shopping Center in Broadbeach.
trying few hats...but I did not get anything (as I already had a new one, remember). Instead, ummi bought one for herself.

.....spending the whole evening at Surfers Paradise Beach again...

21 Feb - saying good bye to Cedar Lake Country Resort, Nerang, Gold Coast.

Heading to Brisbane airport...

safely on board MH directly flying to KLIA.

Goodbye Gold Coast, goodbye Brisbane, goodbye Australia.
