At 7.15pm,my dad and I went out to pick up nenek and Aina at R&R Serdang.
They arrived by bus around 7.35pm.We arrived at my house and take a rest for tomorrow's journey.

The next day,we were taking a breakfast and leave to Cameron Highland.

My daughter, Najla just had a great fun today participating & performing for the first time in musical theatre -High School Musical!!!!

Venue: Pentas 1 - KLPaC, Sentul Park
Workshop by: Fusion Academy of Performing Arts Malaysia
Workshop duration: 5 days

Main trainer/instructor: Singer, dancer, musical theatre actress from Southampton UK, Alexandra Jay

4 groups were involved in the show. Junior group (age 3 to 7), and 3 senior groups. She is in the lower senior group (age 9 to 11). Other groups are the middle senior group (age 12 to 15) and lastly the full senior (above 16). Each group performed 3 different songs & dances.

There are 12 students in her group (the smallest group). Najla, Karini Ibrahim, Lai Nicole, Lim Jarn Han, Merissa Ashley Lowrans, Michelle Lee Xi Foong, Ng Su Shien, Nur Fatihah Quazandrea, Raveen Raj, Sabrina Hannah Jamaluddin, Shahmmakh Daud.
My daughter's group performed 3 choreograph dances from High School Musical songs, HSM1 "What I have been looking for"; HSM2 "Fabulous" and "High School Musical".

Then all the Seniors sang HSM3 "All in this Together" and then everyone (with Juniors) sang "Heal the World" (MJ) in black & white dresses.

All the kids have done very well on stage and have lots of fun!!!!! Bravo.....

after 6 days of hard work, i guess she is so tired that she falls asleep inside the car on the way home.....zzzzzzzzzzzzz

MAS is offering around RM900 all-in to travel one-way to London. London to KL is around RM1,300. So return fare is about RM2,200. Not bad.

Well, Airasia is offering even lower prices...one-way ticket is around RM500 and returning is around RM850. All in - RM1,350...wow! (of course without meal & entertainment la...)

So, next destination...London...insyaAllah.

MH714 DPS-KUL delay

Our schedule Malaysia Airlines flight MH714 DPS-KUL suppose to depart at 1350, but was delayed due to technical problem. We waited for 1 hour before were told that the plane needs a part replaced. Plane estimate to be ready the following day 12 JUN at 7pm. We were given options to stay or take earliest flight to KUL. As hotel rooms are mostly booked, we decided to take earliest flight available - Qatar airways QR625 depart 2335 same day to Doha via KUL.

it was tuesday, 30 Ramadhan. i accompanied ummi to facial saloon @ the mines. while waiting, i was getting fish massage for free. abah went to office and return after lunchtime.

we left home around 3.30pm. first stop, animal hotel. nop. just a veterinary clinic in Bukit Mahkota for feline boarding. next stop, Nilai 3. last minute shopping....

by the time we arrived at ayer keroh R&R, it was already time for breaking fast. it was the last day of ramadhan. and it's time to celebrate raya yahoo! ummi & i had nasi lemak while abah enjoyed a bowl of "stiff" laksa penang.

we arrived at the kampong around 9pm. first relatives family came to visit atok & maktok at 11.00pm. here some photos for viewing...

Yeah. Abah made an advance booking to watch a 3D Journey 2 D Centre of D Earth at GSC MidValley. After my usual dance class, we immediately headed to Midvalley megamall.

I have watched 3D and 4D short movies before when Abah took me to Gold coast last year. The last 3D movie I watched was Alladin @ Genting Indoor which was the worst of all.

Anyway, I enjoyed this movie, mainly because it's action packed. I like the part when a fish tried to take a bite off the lady's behind. The best 3D effect was when some fishes jumped towards me.

So, don't miss the opportunity to watch this high quality 3D-movie k!

Friday - 4 April

Abah took us to Genting today, an uphill riding on wet road. We arrived at GPPR around 7.30pm. This resort offers 3-bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen is pretty simple with standard microwave, bread toaster, kettle & electric cooker (instead of gas cooker). The TV reception is also very bad. We end up watching "Rat-a-touille" from ummi's laptop.

Saturday - 5 April

Ready to go up, another 15km drive to the hilltop.

We decided to buy Outdoor theme park tickets (unlimited rides). RM38 for adult and RM27 for child. Additional RM10 for Flying Coaster (superman ride - the one far behind).

First ride - double deck carousel. Abah went for "Spinner" ride alone. We then took a 20-mins monorail to check out which rides are available there.

Nothing much at Crazy Space Lab, so we went straight to Dinosaurland.

One must wait for a boat ride (with 5 minutes mechanical Dino show) before landing at Dinosaurland.

I was not allowed to ride this "Rodeo" as the maximum height allowable was 122cm. I exceeded the height by 2 cm.

We had our lunch at Marybrown. Now, it was Ummi's turn to ride the Spinner, the whirlwind adventure.

and then, Super Toboggan. It was like winter Olympic athletes sliding downhill in the luges.

i took a very much less nerve-wracking activity such as boating.
here, look at my paddling skill.Abah can't wait to try the "Flying coaster", a new hang-gliding roller coaster ride. Swoop, twist and zoom round turns and drops!

Abah told us, it was not so scary as he thought. In fact, he went twice!! as the ride was too short. (under 5 minutes each round).

Note :- This Flying Coaster ride is on a pay-per-ride basis and is not included in the One Day Unlimited Ride Pass.

While waiting for Abah, we took a simple ride - Antique Car.
It started raining, so we went to the indoor park. Last ride for the day - 4D Motion movie - Ali Baba. It was a terrible experience mainly because poor film quality (blur). It was also a very long wait (40 minutes) for a 5-mins lousy movie. Till then, bye.

Ummi flew to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah last Tuesday for another assignment.

Ummi will visit Sabah again in June, so we will try to plan something then. The return airfare offered by Airasia is around RM370 per pax (incl. tax) whereas MAS supersaver is about RM560 per pax.

Perjalanan dari Alor Star lebih kurang 35 minit, melalui Guar Cempedak.

Memandangkan keadaan jalan menaiki gunung sejauh 13km agak merbahaya (selekoh Z yang tajam), kami menyewa van dari kaki bukit. bayaran RM10 setiap dewasa turun dan naik.

How low can you go?

Malaysian low-cost airline AirAsiaX, which is now flying to Australia four times a week, is so far flying only to the Gold Coast but early indicators are that it intends to be at the bottom of the price range.

A one-way flight from the Gold Coast to Kuala Lumpur was listed at $250, then we added two meals at $7 each and a comfort kit for a further $7 (no inflight entertainment was available for purchase).

The potential catch with AirAsiaX is that it charges passengers to check in luggage, and while the price for a small bag is quite reasonable, a heavy suitcase can blow the budget.

The carrier charges $7 for up to 15 kilograms, then it jumps to $42 for up to 20 kilograms.
If you checked in 21 kilograms - not an uncommon weight for international travellers - you would be slugged $77.

This would take the total cost of the journey to $348, still the cheapest option but a big jump from the $250 you thought you would be paying.

Red carpet landing @ GoldCoast for AirAsia X

TRAVELLERS touched down to a red carpet reception on Saturday as the Gold Coast welcomed the first official AirAsia X flight from Kuala Lumpur.

Surf lifesavers, Dreamworld characters and koalas from Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary formed an honour guard to greet the 315 passengers including Malaysian Government officials, Gold Coast Tourism boss Pavan Bhatia and AirAsia X chief executive Azran Osman-Rani.
Travellers paid just $99 for the maiden low-cost, long-haul flight.

AirAsia X will operate four direct return flights per week between Kuala Lumpur and the Gold Coast, serviced by the airline's A330-300 aircraft.
After an eight-hour overnight flight, passengers were all smiles when the plane touched down at Coolangatta.

For Johnny Grimes and David Hor, the new route provided an opportunity for their first Gold Coast experience.
"It's David's very first time in Australia and it's my first time on the Gold Coast," said Mr Grimes, originally from the UK.
"We're just here to visit some friends but also because AirAsia X had the flight, that was instrumental in the decision."
Mr Grimes said his English language student David was 'just like a kid' when they arrived on the Coast.

"The plane was full and we were in business class seats up the front ... they said we were making history," said Mr Grimes.
"I think the more people that have the opportunity to travel the better it is and, of course, with AirAsia X and their long-haul travel, that will give people the opportunity."
Mr Bhatia said the flight was enjoyable and an historic one for the Gold Coast.
"I actually slept like a baby so it was a fantastic eight hours and there's nothing like landing directly on the Gold Coast," said Mr Bhatia.
"I'm really very excited, it's an historic day and not only has this plane landed in what is now called one of the world's best low-cost airports ... finally we are connected directly to Asia so it's fantastic.

"As far as we are concerned our city's plan is to get two million more visitors here by the end of 2010 and this is one of our strategies.
"Starting with about four flights a week, we do hope with the way this is going and with the outbound travel it will become attainable."
Mr Bhatia said the Gold Coast faced direct competition with countries such as Vietnam and China, which also offered attractive beaches.
"No longer is it one annual holiday. With low-cost you can take two, three or four holidays, therefore direct connectivity saves about two or three or four days and lets you recover from long-haul. This makes a difference," he said.

"With long-haul, a family can really come for three days, go to the beaches, go the Hinterland, have a great time, go to the casino and then go back and do it over and over again.
"That's what has changed with low-cost carriers in Europe, that's what's changed it in Asia and guess what, we are now welcoming it internationally for the first time here."

Mr Osman-Rani said AirAsia X was planning to expand with a second Australian destination and is negotiating with several cities including Newcastle in NSW and Avalon in Victoria.
"We are keen on Avalon as it is an open airport without any congestion. It will also be cheaper for us to land there," said Mr Osman-Rani.

However, fare excludes visa, in-flight meals, baggage check-in fee (RM20 up to 15kg)
